The Heron

Heron International was granted permission by the City of London on 21st November 2007 for the redevelopment of The Heron in the City of London. The decision will facilitate the provision of world class performance based facilities for the Guildhall School of Music & Drama together with a high quality residential tower. The new school building will house the following: 625 seat concert hall, 225 seat training theatre, a studio theatre and space for teaching, office and support services.

The residential tower will fit over the school facilities and will comprise 284 apartments in a range of unit sizes. The proposals will also bring forward significant investment to improve the streetscape around The Heron and will enhance the street environment for those who live in, work or visit the new development.
